We stock more than 1,000 products for hiking, camping, swimming and triathlon, cycling, climbing and snow, and ship Australia-wide from our Gold Coast warehouse, or you can collect your order from our Helensvale warehouse.
We're a family business, and we focus on gear for people who go further: ultralight hikers, open-water swimmers and triathletes, mountain bikers, climbers and backcountry skiers. If we wouldn't take it on the trail ourselves, we don't sell it.

Kaz and Stu, a Gold Coast family of five, took over Oz Backcountry in 2024. We test our gear in real conditions. Between us we climb, swim, mountain bike, hike, dirt bike, ski, snowboard and camp, so we know why reliable gear matters.
Inspired by the outdoors
Oz Backcountry grew from a love of exploring. We know the buzz of a new summit, the quiet of a remote trail and the freedom of the Australian backcountry. That's why we pick our range carefully, from brands whose gear stands up to real adventures.
