Often, yes. Most of our unisex gloves start at XS, and the Merino Gloves at 2XS. If gloves usually feel baggy in the fingers, try a women's cut: the Estelle and Nina come in XS to L with a slimmer fit, and the Muse fleece in S to L.
Some are water resistant rather than fully waterproof. The Nina and Tease II soft shells are rated 10,000 mm, which handles showers and damp. For long wet or sleety days, the insulated Sapporo II has a 15,000 mm XtremeTex15+ liner, or choose a glove from our women's snow gloves.
Yes. The XTM Merino Gloves and Arctic Thermal Liner are made to be worn alone or under a ski glove or mitt. Take your true size so the liner fits close, and keep it on when you pull the outer glove off to buckle a boot or use your phone.

• Showers and damp: the Nina and unisex Tease II have a soft shell outer rated 10,000 mm waterproof and 10,000 g breathable. XTM rate both 3 out of 4 for warmth and 2 out of 4 for waterproofing: good for cool, damp days, not hours of sleet.
• Light warmth: the Muse is 205 g/m² recycled microfleece that lives in a jacket pocket. The Merino Gloves are 230 gsm Australian merino.
• Liners: the Merino Gloves and Arctic Thermal Liner work alone on a cool morning or under a bigger glove at the snow.
• Fingers free: Ottie Merino Hand Covers are fingerless gloves knitted in Melbourne from 210 gsm superfine Australian merino with 5% elastane, in S/M and M/L.

Most cold hands on the track come from wind: a southerly on the Razorback, a frosty Blue Mountains start, a lunch stop on the Main Range. A windproof glove or a liner covers most days from May to September.
