The USWE Flow 16L is a 16 litre mountain bike pack built around a back protector. A Level 1 CE-certified SAS-TEC full back protector is integrated into the back panel and lifts out when you want it out. Around it sits a trim trail pack with space for water, tools and a layer, locked down by USWE's bounce-free harness.

The Flow 16L is the smaller of the two Flow packs, sized for the essentials of a ride rather than a full kit list, so it stays compact and close to your body. We stock it for riders who want protection and storage in one piece of gear that stays where you put it when the trail gets quick.

Capacity and fit

The Flow 16L measures 50 x 25 x 18 cm and weighs 1210 g without the protector fitted. The main compartment opens wide on a long zip and has organiser pockets for tools and spares. Up top, a zippered pocket with a soft lining keeps goggles or small gadgets from getting scratched. Outside, compression straps pull the load in so the pack rides slim, and two hip pockets on the waist belt hold what you want to reach with the pack still on.

The No Dancing Monkey 2.0 harness and Snug-Me waist support belt draw the pack against your back, closed with USWE's NDM buckle, so it does not swing around on fast, rough ground. The Flow 16L fits torso lengths from 43 to 55 cm. A helmet carry system and armour attachment points let you strap your lid and pads to the pack when you are not wearing them, and the front straps take clip-on pockets for a phone, gels or bars. A rain cover comes with the pack.

Drinking and refilling

Slide in a hydration bladder of up to 3 litres, bought separately. The drink tube is secured along the shoulder strap, so it stays put and within reach while you ride instead of flapping loose.

The back protector

The protector is a Level 1 CE-certified full back protector made by SAS-TEC. It is integrated into the back panel of the Flow 16L and is removable. SAS-TEC's protector is flexible enough that you hardly notice it once the pack is on.
