The Mammut Eiger Nordwand 28 is a 28 L roll-top alpine pack in white ULTRA fabric, developed with Mammut's athletes for mountaineering in hard conditions. It is light, waterproof and minimal, with a reinforced base that protects against contact with rough surfaces.

Mountaineers and alpine climbers who want one tough, light pack for technical days. Mammut built the Eiger Nordwand 28 for serious mountain conditions, and its removable attachments can be taken off to cut weight.

Capacity, and what actually fits

The 28 L body closes with a waterproof roll-top, so the volume flexes with the load and the contents stay dry. Inside there is a pocket for valuables. Outside, two strong ice axe attachments and a rope fixation strap keep the technical kit on the pack and your hands free, and the Eiger Hook system takes skis or a snowboard as well as axes.

How it carries

The Eiger Hook system lets you set up the carry the way you want it, and it is built to last and to be repaired. The chest belt and hip belt both detach, and the back panel padding and compression straps come off too.

The Eiger Nordwand 28 is unisex and comes in one size with a 46 cm (M) back length. If you have a shorter back, the Eiger Nordwand 28 Women has a shorter back length and hip belt and a different shoulder strap shape.
