XTM Wye River Zip Off Hike Pant is one pant for the whole day. Start a cool morning in full-length pants, then zip the legs off above the knee when the afternoon warms up and keep walking in shorts, without stopping to change.

Who it's for

Women who hike and want to pack light. The Wye River converts to a hiking short in seconds, blocks the sun with a UPF 50+ rating and shrugs off light rain with a PFAS-free DWR coating. On the Pavement, Sand and Spruce Green colours, a Polygiene wash reduces odours, which makes them a good pick for long trips.

Fit and layering

The cut is tapered and slim, with a zip-and-button fly, an elasticated back waistband and an adjustable waistband strap with a slide buckle to set the fit. Knee darts give an articulated fit that bends with you, and a gusset panel adds freedom of movement. We stock Naval Blue, Pavement and Sand in women's sizes 8 to 18, and Spruce Green in sizes 8 to 16.

Zip-off legs and pockets

The lower legs zip off above the knee, turning the pant into a hiking short. Crotch eyelets let heat out when you are working hard, a concealed zip stash pocket keeps small essentials secure, and a zipped back welt pocket holds another small essential.
