Description
The XTM Kids Bailey is an insulated, fully seam-taped ski pant for ages 10 to 16, cut from stretch recycled polyester and rated 20,000 mm waterproof. It is built to see a growing kid through a whole season on the snow.
Who it's for
Kids aged 10 to 16 who ski all day and want to stay dry doing it. The Bailey is a full-season snow pant: warm enough for a cold chairlift, waterproof enough to sit in the snow while the group regroups, and stretchy enough for the kid who spends the afternoon hunting side-hits off the edge of the run. We stock it because the One-Two-Grow system lets you lengthen the leg by one size.
Waterproofing and breathability
XTM's HydroVENT20+ fabric is rated 20,000 mm waterproof and 20,000 g/m2 breathable. Every seam is fully taped so melting snow has no stitch line to creep through, and the shell carries a PFC-free DWR finish. The breathable rating lets heat and sweat escape on the climb back up for one more lap.
Fit and layering
- One-Two-Grow: lets out the leg length by one size when they shoot up mid-season
- Waterproof side-entry zips: open the side of the leg so ski boots go on and off without peeling the whole pant down
- Movement: articulated knees and lower leg gussets for a free stride and deep crouch
- Adjustment: adjustable straps plus belt loops
- Snow seal: elasticised boot gaiters close around the boot cuff
- Sizes: kids' 10 to 16
Fabric and construction
The shell is 100% recycled polyester stretch fabric. Inside, 80 g/sqm of REPREVE traceable recycled polyester insulation keeps the warmth in, and there are three external pockets. The Bailey is a certified carbon neutral product from XTM, available in Black or Indigo Solid.
