Side Country Men's Insulated Jacket

XTM Side Country Men's Insulated Jacket is the warm, trim layer you pull on for cold days on the move. The body is PFC-free nylon ripstop over 120g/sqm insulation, the sleeves and side panels are 240g/sqm brushed polyester with stretch, and the inside is a soft, itch-free brushed lining. It has a durable water repellent coating, a full-length centre-front zip, and weighs 440 g on average. Men's, in Black.

Men who want one jacket for a cold morning dog walk, a winter footy match on the sideline, a brisk hike in the Blue Mountains or a day of spring skiing at Thredbo. XTM rate it 3 of 4 for warmth and 2 of 4 for breathability. The body is insulated, while the sleeves and side panels are brushed polyester with stretch. As a low-bulk layering piece, it can also sit under a shell on colder ski days.

Fit and layering

A fitted cut, snug to the body, made as a low-bulk layering piece. The back length is 74 cm on a size M, worn here by a 182 cm model. If you plan to wear a thick fleece underneath, we'd size up.

Do up the zip, then machine wash cold on a delicate cycle without fabric softener or bleach. Line dry it; no tumble dryer, no iron and no dry cleaning.
