Merino Pro-Fit II Australian Merino Wool Ski Socks
Description
Description
XTM Performance Merino Pro-Fit II ski socks are thin, close-fitting snow socks knitted from 80% Australian merino wool, with a seamless toe and X-tech cross-foot compression. They are made for skiers and snowboarders who want a precise fit inside the boot, with a 37 cm leg that reaches up the calf.
Who it's for
Skiers and snowboarders who like to feel the boot, not the sock. A thin sock lets a well-fitted ski boot do its job, so your foot sits where the liner was shaped to hold it from first lifts at Thredbo to the last run at Falls Creek. Merino keeps your feet warm while it breathes, and it resists odour, so one pair copes with a full day on the hill and the walk to dinner afterwards.
Fit and layering
The Pro-Fit II is a fitted sock: snug to the foot and leg, with low bulk. Wear it as your only layer in the boot. One thin, smooth sock gives you a better hold and warmer toes than two pairs bunched together, because your toes keep room to move.
- X-tech cross-foot compression wraps the arch so the sock stays put
- Seamless toe, so there is no ridge across your toes inside the boot
- 37 cm leg length, to sit above the boot cuff

Fabric and construction
The yarn is 80% Australian merino wool, 15% polyester and 5% elastane. The merino does the warming, breathing and odour control; the polyester adds wear resistance; the elastane gives the stretch that holds the sock to your leg. An average pair weighs 66 g. The Merino Pro-Fit II is a certified carbon neutral product.
Care
Turn the socks inside out and cold machine wash on a gentle or wool cycle with wool detergent. Skip the fabric softener and bleach. Line dry, or tumble dry on cool. Do not iron or dry clean.
