Description

The Double V is an ideal pad for backpackers and campers looking for a backcountry bed for two. The body-mapped V chamber design limits air movement to help maintain insulating performance, maximize comfort, and keep your tossing and turning from ruining your partner’s sleep. It’s sized to easily fit in a two-person tent, but rugged enough to sleep on the ground under the stars. The Double V quickly inflates in just 8-10 pumps from the included air pump/stuff sack and weighs only 43 ounces.

  • Body Mapping Technology: Our patented V-shaped design delivers support and comfort no matter how you sleep; on your side, stomach or back.
  • Side Rails: Integrated into the patterning and construction, they provide a secure, comfortable sleep by centering you on the pad and inhibiting air movement while tossing and turning.
  • Deep Weld Patterning: Unlike traditional pads that flatten the bag's fill, Deep Welds create expansion zones that allow your bag to fully loft beneath you for improved thermal comfort.
  • Anti Microbial Laminate: Permeates the inside laminate to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, including fungus and bacteria, that can cause odors and material damage.
  • Patch Kit included for emergency repairs.

FAQ's

Are Klymit pads noisy?
While any inflatable pad will make some slight noise during movement, with Klymit pads there is no need to worry about sounding like you are using a potato chip bag as a sleeping mat. Klymit pads will allow you to sleep outside silently and will preserve your friendships with others while on group camping trips.

If I suspect a leak in my sleeping pad, how do I find and fix it?
To find a leak, submerge your inflated pad in water until bubbles ascend from somewhere on the pad. The bubbles indicate where the leak is coming from. You can also use a spray bottle with soapy water to spray the pad. These air leaks will produce additional bubbles which indicate air is escaping. If you decide to use the patch kit to repair the pad, make sure the damaged surface is clean, before applying the adhesive patches. Please wait at least 6 hours for it to cure before inflating the pad again. For pinhole leaks, we suggest using any gel super glue to repair the leak.

Why are there cut outs and holes in some of your Klymit pads?
For our lightweight ‘Inertia’ pad series, many of the pads have cutouts in them. The cutouts are called loft pockets because they allow your sleeping bag to ‘loft’ into the holes. This ‘loft’ aspect helps increase warmth while decreasing the overall weight of the pad.

My Klymit pad seems to lose air overnight. What is an acceptable level of deflation?
Because breath is warm, when you inflate your pad, you will have full inflation at first. But after the air inside the pad cools to room temperature, it will condense and it may appear that the pad is deflating. We recommend inflating your pad 1 hour before sleep, and then topping it off right before sleep for optimal comfort. If you are experiencing more deflation than this, that is not normal! Contact us at support@klymit.com and we’ll make sure to fix this for you.
