Capacity, and what actually fits

24 litres holds a 3 L hydration bladder, a rain jacket, a fleece, lunch and a first aid kit. The lid pocket takes snacks and sunscreen, two side pockets hold bottles, and a hip fin pocket keeps your phone close. It measures 56 x 25 x 21 cm, and side compression straps cinch it when it is half full.

How it carries

Deuter's Airstripes back uses two padded strips with ventilation channels and breathable 3D mesh between them, so air moves across most of your back and the pack sits close without swaying. Padded shoulder straps, stabiliser straps and ventilated hip fins on an adjustable waist belt share the load, and the sternum strap adjusts for both height and width.
