Description
Description
The Deuter Raincover Square is a 70 g pack cover that keeps a 20-32 litre daypack dry when the weather turns. It folds into a corner of your lid pocket and comes out when the first fat drops land.
What it is
A square-cut rain cover in PU-coated 70D polyamide with taped seams and an elasticated hem, built for larger daypacks.
Who it's for
Walkers, riders and climbers carrying a 20-32 litre pack that did not come with its own cover, or whose cover has gone missing. Deuter rate it five out of five for hiking, mountain biking and mountain climbing. It earns its place on a Tasmanian day walk, where the forecast is a suggestion, or on a summer afternoon in the Blue Mountains when the storm builds by two.
Key details
- Fits daypacks of 20-32 litres
- Square cut, for packs with a squarer shape
- PU-coated 70D polyamide with taped seams
- Elasticated hem grips the pack
- Reflective details
- 70 g
- Ara (blue) or Neon (high-visibility yellow)
Pick Neon if you ride or walk near roads; the bright cover and reflective details make you easier to see in rain and low light. Ara is the low-key choice for the bush.
Looking after it
The fabric is bluepass and Green Button certified, finished without intentionally added PFAS. Shake off the water and let it dry fully before packing it away, so it does not go mouldy in the bottom of your pack.
