Description
The Lezyne Dual Valve Pump Head is a replacement or upgrade head for a floor pump hose. It has two ports, one for Presta and one for Schrader, so there is nothing to unscrew or flip when the next bike in the shed runs the other valve. The body is Composite Matrix, the locking lever is aluminium, and the whole head weighs 51 g.
Who it's for
Home mechanics and workshops whose floor pump head has worn out, cracked or started leaking at the valve. It suits a household where the road bike runs Presta, the kids' bikes run Schrader and an older commuter still has Dunlop. The head pushes onto the hose and tightens down with a collar, and Lezyne build it to be rebuilt, so a tired seal is a service job, not a new head.
Pressure and volume
A head does not change how much air your pump moves or how hard it can push: that is down to the barrel and the gauge. The head's job is to get onto the valve and stay there while you pump, and this one locks on with its aluminium lever.
Valve compatibility
The top port takes Presta, the larger lower port takes Schrader, and Dunlop valves fit as well. Push the head straight onto the valve until it is fully seated, not at an angle, then lift the aluminium lever to lock it in place. Drop the lever to release when you are done.
Looking after it
Keep the ports clear of grit, push the head on square rather than levering it onto the valve, and when the seal finally wears, rebuild the head instead of replacing the pump.
